My Sky system packed up last night and I spend a fair amount of time and a good deal of money on the 08702 number in the queue before finally speaking to a person and going throught the diagnostics, all of which resulted in a booking for an engineer visit this Friday.
I suspected a bit of snow on the LNB to be the culprit and sure enough today it works.
Not wishing to waste more money in the queue on the 08702 phone number I decided to contact Sky via their website to cancel the engineer callout and filled out a form with all the usual details (apart from my inside leg measurement), providing them with the all important incident reference number.
I got a fairly quick (automated) reply; bear in mind the engineer is due tomorrow afternoon:
We’ve got your message and we aim to get back to you within the next 5 days.
