Having reviewed my visible power consumption in Light Fandango I realised that the increased sound of spinning fans and drives is starting to concern me (not to speak of my tinnitus), so I made a quick count of active equipment:
5 computers running (with a further 2 available for part-time use)
9 internal hard drives (750 gigabytes)
8 external hard drives (1.5 terrabytes)
I think it is time to get one mother of a super cooled beast and put this lot in the skip.
